Overview
Explore the wonders of Cappadocia on a full-day tour by air-conditioned van. Discover Devrent Imagination Valley, Pasabag (Monk’s Valley), Goreme Open Air Museum,and many more and savor a traditional meal in an authentic restaurant.
What to Expect
Beginning with a hotel pick-up at approximately 09:00am, start your full-day Cappadocia tour.
Your first meeting with the lunar landscape of Cappadocia will be in the Devrent Imagination Valley which is famous for it's animal-like natural rock formations. After Devrent, visit Pasabag (Monk’s Valley) where you will see mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys with multiple stems and caps.
After Pasabag a short drive will take you to Avanos Town which is divided in two by the longest river of Turkey, Kizilirmak (Redriver), and famous for it's tile and pottery workshops. Proceed to have a very special lunch in an authentic Cappadocia restaurant and have the chance to taste some local foods and world-wide famous Cappadocia wines.
In the afternoon your first stop will be the famous Goreme Open Air Museum which is the biggest monastic settlement of the region. Visit some well-preserved, rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings dating from as early as the 10th century and the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia.
Then head on to Esentepe Wish Hill for the best panoramic view of Cappadocia with Mt. Argeus, deep canyons, cave houses, and dovecotes. End the day visiting the Uchisar Rock Castle which is the highest peak in the region and used as a fortress by the Roman and Byzantine armies.
At the end of a spectacular day’s sightseeing you will be dropped off at your hotel at a approximately 17:00 PM.
